Are you working in museum collections, digital storytelling, or projects featuring migration history? Join us for the first event in the MIGRATION NETWORK series, focused on how digital tools are being used to document and share migration stories through collections work. This session will highlight examples of innovative digital projects from across the museum and archive sectors, including presentations from Migration Stories North West and The Wiener Holocaust Library. We’ll explore how these initiatives are being developed for specific audiences, the impact they’re having, and the opportunities they present for the wider heritage field. As part of a research project funded by the The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Migration Museum is working to better understand the landscape of migration-related collections across the UK. This work will inform the development of a digital portal prototype, showcasing key objects held by partner museums and heritage organisations.
